4. We Wish You a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ;)

So this is it, the final newsletter of 2007.
Sending the newsletter is one of my favourite parts of this job. I often get replies from subscribers with a cool web development tool or trick that I can share, elated feedback about our products or support, or even just a kind hello. So I wanted to take this time to thank you for being a subscriber, and to wish you all the best for the holiday season.
It can be crazy how time flies when you're having fun. I haven't even had time to get my Christmas plans in order yet.
I still have to do my shopping, and have less than 5 days to go. This year I was thinking "I'll go early" but now I'll be the one who looks like he just had three cups of coffee and is in "total panic" mode. Yep, that'll be me, scurrying through the mall looking for anything that I think someone might find useful (and hopefully thoughtful). :)
(A big thank you to whoever invented gift certificates!)
Anyway, if you're like me and need some last minute gift ideas, two years ago I provided tips for men buying gifts for their sweethearts, and last year was for the ladies looking for gifts for me (Editors note: whoops typo, I meant "men"). So, if you haven't had time to grab a gift yet, read through these lists. Maybe you'll see something there, maybe you won't. And if you happen to be buying a gift for me, here's what I'm looking for this year:
- Nintento DS - There are so many great games for this portable console. If you're thinking of me, you can package in a Castlevania game or "Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass". Yes, I'm still a kid at heart. :)
- Wine - I'd love a nice red. Theo recommends the Oyster Bay Merlot from New Zealand.
- A sweater - What's more Christmas than a nice sweater? Also, Vancouver is supposed to get the coldest winter in 20 years...
- Gift Certificate for Home Depot/Rona - I'm doing some renovations soon, so I could use a bit extra.
- Socks and Underwear - The only thing more Christmassy than a sweater, and they're always welcome!
The real holiday season is about sharing, being with family and friends, and giving yourself that much needed break. We hope you'll have a restful holiday with your loved ones. And we will too! We'll actually be closed on the following days:

Damon found this very cool resource that I wanted to share with the rest of you.
With JS Kit you can easily add ratings, reviews, comments, and polls to your news/blog entries or your product listings. By just pasting a small snippet of HTML and JavaScript into your web page, you'll have a new interactive feature added to your site.
