Hi Jay.

Thanks for posting!

There are a couple different things you can do to alter how the New flag is set on listings. Both will involve adding hidden input tags to your _search_query.html template. First is setting the mark new option.

What this does is tell Listings Manager to consider a listing “new” if it has been created or updated within a certain amount of time. The tag for that looks like:

Code
<input type="hidden" name="marknew" value="2">

The just adjust the 2 for how many days you want a listing to show as new.

As I touched on briefly above, the marknew setting will show “new” for both listings recently created as well as listings recently updated. The second way to alter when the “new” flag triggers is using a check_created option.

Code
<input type="hidden" name="check_created" value="1">

The 1 means that only listings that have recently been created will be flagged as “new”.

Does that make sense? Did you want to give it a shot and let me know how you make out with it?

I look forward to hearing from you Smile.
