Hi Mekaeel.

Thanks for posting!

We actually did a mailout to all previous customers with a $50.00 discount towards any purchases before January 31, 2005. It should have gotten to you last week. If you would still like to get your discount, just place an order before the 31rst and we can take of the rest for you.

I hope this helps. I look forward to hearing from you Wink.

Ross - was there a mass mailing? I never received anything via email or snail mail. When did it go out?

Hi Betty,

There was an email that Luke sent out on the 21st of December. It would have been sent to the email address that you would use when you placing your orders.

The email may have been filtered if you have a spam filter on your computer, so if you didn't get anything just send an email to sales@interactivetools.com and we can re-send that for you Smile

Hi Cellphane.

Thanks for the update!

Looks as though your coupon may have been filtered out too.

If you could send an email to sales@interactivetools.com , I’ll be able to get you another coupon sent out.

As for the prices, the coupon is good for $50.00 off any product or service. This means that Article Manager would be $219.00 and Listings Manager would be $249.00.

You have until January 31rst, so you can take some time to let me know when you want to use the coupn.

I look forward to hearing from you Smile.

Re: [ross] THANK YOU for the Christmas present!!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm thinking about using it to upgrade just so I can get rid of the .shtml pages in favor of the .php pages, but can you tell me if that will literally change the location of all my popular pages from my archive? I've got .shtml pages that still pull thousands of hits a month. The upgrade doesn't allow for any sort of automatic SSI includes nor page redirections, does it?

That's all that's holding me back. I can't forsake that traffic and I can't hand-code a thousand pages.

Please advise. (pretty please advise?)

Re: [brianbankerus] THANK YOU for the Christmas present!!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Brian.

Thanks for posting!

What had you planned on upgrading? I imagine it’s Article Manager though Smile.

When you change the publish type from .shtml to .php, your articles are still going to be published to the same folder. The articles in your archive will remain the same, as they don’t actually get published; they are loaded directly from your database.

I am not quite sure what you are looking for with the automatic SSI includes. By default Article Manager is going to use SSI’s on its templates to include the category list and headlines files. Were you looking to get these automatically switched to php includes? That isn’t actually done by Article Manager, however, it isn’t difficult and I could go over it with you if you like.

I hope this gets you on the right track, however, with a few more details, I am sure I can help out some more. So just let me know Wink.

Re: [ross] THANK YOU for the Christmas present!!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

I guess it wasn't as clear as it sounded in my head. That happens.

It IS Article Manager. If I were to upgrade to get .php extensions (so I can run php scripts on the site) would my existing articles (such as article_131.shtml) be automatically converted into article_131.php?

If so, what happens to all my traffic still pointed to the shtml page? If not, what happens to my php scripts trying to run on a shtml page?

Re: [brianbankerus] THANK YOU for the Christmas present!!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi again Brian.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Smile!

When you switch to php extensions, article_131.shtml will automatically get converted to article_131.php. The problem is that any pages external to Article Manager would have to get updated manually.

I think it might be easier to get in touch with your web host and see if the can get php statements working inside shtml files. I don’t think it would be difficult for them to do.

Which version of Article Manager are you using? I am not sure if you would even need to upgrade.

I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, feel free to let me know Wink.

Re: [ross] THANK YOU for the Christmas present!!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm not sure which version I'm using but it's not important. It's perfectly stable and meets all the needs I have (that are supported by any of the subsequent versions to date). Until we get to the MySQL thing I'll be okay. Even after that I'll probably hold out a while.
