School Softwar? Can't Post

Hello,

I am about to start on a project. Basically, its a site for my private school. The main thing here, is i would like the customers to be able to login and see their children profile which includes their pictures, grades, attitude, imporvment they need to do etc.

Any suggestion which of the products you have that my do this for me?. Or do you know any product out there that is specific for a Private schools etc.

Salim,

As far as managing the content, Listings Manager is probably the most appropriate for the "report card" information, with each listing representing a different student. Although there is no built-in "member" management for content access, all the content is published as regular HTML files, so you should be able to easily control access though a through a member-management program.

For the rest of the site (information about the school?), it depends on your other requirements whether Article Manager or Page Publisher would be the most efficient. Let us know more about the project and I'll get a better idea of what product would suit you best.

In the meantime, do any other users have some recommendations for member/access-management software?

Theo,

Thank you for your quick reply. I thought Listing manager would be the most appropriate. But still, I need some sort of access in the front page. Where a student or a parent would go and login and see their information (How can I manage that), if there is a solution for this than I think I am half way through. Are you interested in doing this for me for some fees?

As for the front page content, than page publisher would be suffiecient. IF you agree to set this up for me, I am more than willing to pay you some fees acordingly, or atleast set it up for me and I will take it from there. ( i have experience with Listing Mnager already as I have realty website)

As for the project, like I said, its a school website, where in the front page it should show the basic school info of which some of them contants are constant and some are updated hence page publisher or artlicle manager should do the job etc..

Please let me know thanks

Hi Salim,

Good to hear from you. :)

While we don't have any member management software, many of our customers have found aMember to be a useful script.

We'd be happy to install Page Publisher for you. :) All of our software comes with one free installation. Of course, if you're having any trouble getting the PML tags added to your pages, we're happy to give you a hand.

I hope this helps. :)
