signup.cgi Can't Post

I have already changed permissions on the file but I am getting:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@mydomain.com (i changed the name) and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I read the readme but am confused as to where I find the main page that has the form where a visitor would sign up and create a username/password.

Do I link them to the cgi-bin/listman/exec/signup.cgi or the cgi-bin/listman/templates/_signup.html

Re: [rehabahouse] signup.cgi [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi,

Thanks for the post! Smile

The page that you will direct people to so they can create their own user account will be:

http://www.yoursite.com/cgi-bin/listman/exec/signup.cgi

Similar to the template files that come with Listings Manager you won't actually link directly to the templates, only the script that uses them. I'd suggest trying to use a URL similar to the one above to see if you can access the signup script.

If you're still running into the Internal Server Error you can just compare this script to one of the other scripts in your /exec/ folder. This way you can check that all of the settings are the same (file extension, permissions, etc).

If everything looks okay I'd be happy to get onto your server and have closer look at this for you if you fill out a support request with your FTP details here:

https://www.interactivetools.com/support/email_support.cgi

This would allow me to get onto the server and check to see what may be happening for you.

Let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions! Smile
