view my listings: how to display listings of 2 users?

hi, I'm new here and I'm glad I found this site to get some help. One of my client's site is using Realty Mangager. We use the _publish_homepage_index.html page as a 'team' page where all agents (users) are displayed, each agent has a link to 'view my listings'. Now, my client decided that they will have a few 'common listings', meaning some listings will not be from a specific agent, but have to displayed for all agents. The common listings are added under a seperate 'fake' user, in this case under user no 32. Now I tried to modify this code I'm using for the 'view my listings' link: from: $search_url$?user_num=$user_num$&search=1 to: $search_url$?user_num=$user_num$&user_num=32&search=1 hoping that this will display e.g. the listings of user no 1 AND the listings of user no. 32. However, this doesn't work, this code displays only user 32 listings (the common listings) but not anymore the own listings of each agent. Can anybody tell me how I have to modify this code correctly so the 'view my listings' link it will display the agent's own listings as well as the listings of user no 32 ? Thanks a lot in advance for any hint! Estrella

Hi Estrella. Thanks for posting and welcome to the board! What you are looking for here is what is called Boolean searching ("and" searching) which is something that we currently have on our feature request list. I am going to add another notch to the list for you so the developers can see how much demand there is for everything. While I don't have specific timeframe for the next version of Listings Manager, if you were to sign up for our newsletter (on the main page of our site), we'll keep you up to date. How does that sound? Let me know if you have anymore questions . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

hi Ross, thanks for your reply and to add another nodge on the request list. While it doesn't really help me at this very moment, at least I can stop thinking of other ways to modify this code since it's not possible at the moment. I must say, this is one of the reasons I personally prefer php / mysql to build sites, there I could easily add an "AND" statement and voila! While Realty Manager might be a great solution for many, I personally don't like the way how hard (or even impossible) it is to modify the given files to the client's special needs. Sorry, not your fault, I know, but I had to mentioning this. Thanks again for your time to respond. Estrella

Hello im Another desperate user that needs to show joint listings in the my listings search feature as well as in the property itself it would be a great plus, to be able to just put a check mark on the admin menu if it is a joint listing or not just leave it blank... and this would automatically show up as a listing owned by 2 agents and shown under both agents view my listings search. Thank you very much for the professional attention that you could put to this matter its really a great plus!
