ver 2.52 - problem with agent photos displaying

hi folks, Just received the first agent photo from the client and was trying to upload their photo to their agent listing... the photo uploads fine, and I can select it as the preview image, but the image never displays on the live site. I tried the 'recreate all thumbnails' button in the setup options, but that did not help. all I get is the alt text I assume of 'photo' in a bounding box. Also, when entering her 'background text' on her homepage (using the homepage editor section) once I enter the info, I see that it displays all of it on the 'our agents' page, as well as on the specific agent homepage..is there any way of just having a short 1-2 sentence section display on the agent list, and the entire text on the specific homepage? any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, Thanks for the post! From what you've outlined here, it does sound like the image itself has been uploaded to the server fine and the issue is most likely related to some paths (either in Listings Manager or in the HTML template file) that just aren't pointing to the right place. If you'd like to attach a copy of your _publish_homepage.html to your forum post, I'd be happy to have a look at that. Regarding the background text, the easiest way to do this would be to create an additional field where the user can enter in a "Preview Background" which is just a brief summary. You can then use the existing field for the full detailed page. That said, if you'd like to use just one field you can have a look at this forum post that outlines how you can set up some JavaScript that will output only the first 50 characters of a field. While this tutorial mentions the search results template, this same code will work on the _publish_homepage_index.html: http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=43820#43820 I hope this helps! Hi Mike, The code for the image thumbnail on the _publish_homepage.html & index page is: <img src="$homepage_url$/images/$thumbnail$" width=$thumbnail_width$ border=1 alt="Photo"> if you need more than that, just let me know...I will take a look into the reference you gave about the intro text for the agents bio pages. much appreciated again!

Hi phendyr, Thanks for posting that code up! From the tag you supplied, everything seems to be OK. The best thing to do at this point would be to submit a second-level support request so that we can take a look at your installation directly. You can do that here: http://www.interactivetools.com/support/ Once we're able to log in to your server, we should be able to track down the source of this problem. I look forward to hearing from you. ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Jake Swanson - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Don't forget the simple options first... I have the same problem. For me a CLEAR BROWSER CACHE + a REFRESH BROWSER screen usually solves it. Sometimes it takes 2 -3 attempts as there is a cache on the local computer AND another at the server AND another at Google ... and so on. Nick
