"next photo" or "previous photo"

Hello, Regarding the viewing of pictures in popup windows... Does anyone have a script that would allow the viewer to click "next photo" or "previous photo" within the popup? Obviously this would prevent the viewer from having to click on each individual thumbnail to enlarge... which can get tiresome. Is this even possible with Realty manager? I have seen other postings regarding the closing and sizing of the popup... so I am thinking it can be done. Thanks for the great product BTW... jimmy

This is not a function of Realty Manager but I am sure you could add a DHTML javascript that would allow you to view pictures as a slide show using arrays. I have not yet done this with dynamic picture heights and widths but I have done it with standard heights and widths. I might be able to mess around with the code to see if I can make it dynamic. I will let you know if I succeed. David www.otownautos.com David Rogers ZYBR media an Olando based web design studio. OtownAutos.com (uses Auto Manager) webmaster@otownautos.com

Hi David, I would be really interested to hear what you come up with. I know other forum users are interested in adding a forward and back button to the image popup window. I'm working on a another JavaScript add-on this week but was hoping to look into a solution myself next week. Keep me updated. I will post my progress as well. Cheers Damon Edis interactivetools.com

Alright Damon I have a some question. I have two variables that I need to define and hopefully AM acknowledges them. The first I know has to be defined. I need to know the identifier for the lising number. For instance the naming convention for the images are 3_1.jpg for the third listing, I need to know what that identifier for the 3 is. In the homepages each user is defined by $user_num$ I am guessing this variable is $listing_num$ maybe?? The second variable I hope AM acknowledges is the number of images that is present per listing page. For instance your allowed to have up to 10 but this number could differ. Does AM have a variable that tracks the individual number of images on each listing page. I need this variable to set the max number of slides. Without this number it could be difficult. Hopefully there are variable identifier for each of these. Thanks David www.otownautos.com David Rogers ZYBR media an Olando based web design studio. The current version (2.25) of Auto/Realty Manager doesn't support the $listing_num$ placeholder in the listing templates, but the next update will. As for number of images per listing, there is no placeholder for that because RM/AM doesn't to keep track of this number. It just re-scans the images directory for the appropriate images when you edit a listing. /Dave Lo

Hi David and Damon, Thanks for the replies to my posting. Is it fair to assume that this would be a significant challenge? Any additional thoughts? jimmy
