modify templates 2.29

AM 2.29
in the template _listing_list.html i am trying to add make and model
so :
Year | Make | Model
I have opened the file inserted columns and inserted $lfield2$ and $lfield3$ where needed they show up for the cars BUT the TITLE of that particular column I cannot get to show up:
Year | <blank> | <blank>
1996 ford pinto
am i missing something??
