looking for alternative ways to display images

I was wondering what methods folks out there have come up with to display their images? we have a client who would like to make use of a 'slider' or similar affect to save the user from having to click the back button after clicking on one image.
I've seen a couple posts with some javascript solutions for this, but it appears to manually setup? (perhaps I'm wrong, it's been known to happen)
Is there anything that can be used to display the larger image version on a property listing page, like a rollover, so that the user doesn't have to click so much, and how streamlined can it be, for the owners of the site to maintain it? they're not very html-experienced, and I don't want to get roped into maintaining their site. If it can't be done, let me know as well.

Hi phendyr,
You might want to take a look at this post by Damon:

This outlines how to set up the lightBox javascript on your listing pages, which will allow users of the site to view a listing's full-size image without leaving the page.
