Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to make realtymanager to store listings html file to a set directory. Right now, it is storing into my lintings directory, but I wanted to create a different directory just for listing html files. Is is possible to do that?

Hi yuichim, Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum Within the Setup Options for Realty Manager, there is a section where you can edit the Directories and URLs that the program uses to publish its content. So you can change the listings directory to a directory of your choice if you want to. All you need to do is change the directory that the program publishes to and the URL to the directory. Another thing that you will want to keep in mind is that the directory that the listings are published to must have fill read, write and execute permissions, so that the program can make the necessary changes to the files when you want to edit a listing. I hope that all makes sense, if you need further clarification, please don't hesitate to post again Regards, Cliff Stefanuk - Customer Service Manager support@interactivetools.com

Hi, Cliff Thank you very much for the reply. I do understand that I can set where the files will be created, but for example, if I set to save in this "a" directory, RM creates the index and the other listings.html file right? I wanted the index.html to be created in different directory, but the listings.html in other directory. I know that there is no setting for that. May be a hard coding is needed.....?

Hi yuichim, Thanks for the additional info Yes, you are correct that the program will publish the listings and the listings index page into the same directory. If you want to create a listing index page outside of the /listings/ directory, I think that the easiest way would be to use an SSI. What I recommend is using a blank search query to create a list of all your listings, display the results on a custom search results template, and then call the search query using the SSI. I hope that all makes sense; if you want I can write up some instructions on how to do this. Thanks yuichim have a great day Regards, Cliff Stefanuk - Customer Service Manager support@interactivetools.com
