descriptions for all pictures

As you may or may not recall I was going to set up a field with all mommy and daddy alpacas(it's an alpaca site-no houses) then code each name with the url to their listing page, so that when one is referred to it will have a link to their page, well my client doesn't like that. So her new idea is to add a photo of the mommy, daddy or both together, then add a description below it-no urls. Not all pages would have this so I don't know if it's possible, or if I can put a specific field with a specific picture, can I designate like pic 9 goes with field 10 always, even if I don't upload pictures 2-8? I know this one is confusing.

Hi Irishis, How about having a field in your database that's specific to mommy/daddy alpacas, which you'd only fill in for those 'listings'. Then, inside the _publish_listing.html template, put a reference to that new field. Thus, that information would only appear on the relevant pages. Would this work for you, do you think? But no - unfortunately you can't specify particular images depending on what position they sit in the database. Post me back about this, I'm sure we can come up with some sort of solution.
