Ok I have playing around with this for a while and just spinning my wheels....
I am not a programmer by trade but I can generally follow the flow without much effort and I do understand how the pages are created.
My problem is trying to get the listing to come out on a page like

I use ssi to generate the header and footer and would like to insert
the listing inbetween but to no success...........
Ok first can you have a ssi tag on the same page as a listing page?
If so does it have to be in ? dir.
Is there a expanded version of how to setup custom pages?
I just need some blanks filled in that I seem to be missing....

Yes, you can put an SSI on the same page as a listing page, but I'm not quite sure what you mean by your second question. The included file can be anywehere on your server.

Do you mean developing Realty Manager pages to look the way you want - or using custom templates? Click here for a tutorial on working with Realty Manager templates, or here for some documentation on using custom templates.
Concerning your problem of getting a listing appear on the page you mentioned, how do you want it done exactly? Do you want the whole listing (like in a full listing details page?) or more like a short summary with a link .
The second option is probably the better one - and if you like I can run through the steps you'll need to go through to get it up and running on your page. :-)
