Thumbnails creation times out ?

Hello Team,
We have 2 websites on which ADMIN does not complete the RECREATE ALL THUMBNAILS processing properly - after a couple of minutes we just get a blank white screen. We are using ImageMagick 5.5.7
The dbase still works but many of the photos are "as uploaded"
eg l0001 does not create the 1_1_t.jpg style name for all photos
Websites are on different servers.
http://www.eymet-immobilier.com with 400+ properties
http://www.eymet-immobilier.fr with 400+ properties
Each averages (say) 6-8 photographs.

I'd be happy to have a look at this for you though it seems like it may be easiest if I'm able to get onto the server and run a test script or two myself.
