Can I change the format of the templates from HTML to ASPX?

Thanks for your post!
You can use any form of code you'd like on the template files, but they will have to keep the same names that they currently have - you won't be able to change the file extension. What you'll want to do instead is change the file extension of the published files so that they're able to execute your ASPX code once they've been created. You can make that change under "Setup Options".
