Superuser approval of listings Can't Post

Hi,

I was wondering if there's a simple way of only allowing properties uploaded by agents to become visible after the superuser has viewed and approved them? What I would like is for uploaded properties to be invisible (i.e. not listed) by default and only the superuser could uncheck this option. Can this be done by editing the interface templates?

Thanks,

Bill.

Hi Bill!

Thanks for your post. :)

Currently, there's no way to moderate postings on Realty Manager. However, I know that that is on the list of requested features already, so I'll certainly add your name to the request. :)

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. :)

Re: [Donna] Superuser approval of listings [In reply to] Can't Post

I know this thread is several years old, but that's all I could find on my search. I need the functionality to force admin approval of listings. I am hopeful that in the years since this suggestion, it has made it into a production release.

Can anyone confirm?

I would like to have this option too. I'm sure that someone did it already.

Hi there,

Currently, that feature isn't available. However, it's definitely on the requested feature list. :)

Ouch!

It looks like this has been on the requested feature list for almost 3 years! Unsure

Is it possible for somebody to custom code this for us? How would I go about getting a quote on that? Without this feature, I'll have to find another script to use. Frown

Re: [Capt'n Morgan] Superuser approval of listings [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi there,

Our programming resources are currently dedicated to Article Manager, so Listings Manager isn't getting any upgrades right now. We're also unable to offer custom programming at this time.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a workaround that would do that for you right now. It's definitely something we hope to include in the future, but as mentioned, our development time is focused on Article Manager, so I don't know when that would be.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :)

Double ouch.

That's quite dissapointing...

I'm open to suggestions, I'll look at other products in the meantime.

For what it's worth Bobby, support did e-mail and said that Article Manager will do what I am looking for. I just don't know how much work it will be to setup all of those now custom fields in article manager.

In this day and age, that's a deal breaker for any software of this type. I have been running several directories for the last few years, and SPAM submissions are the biggest problem I have had to deal with. I was hoping this software would help me build a vacation rental directory, but I won't consider anything that doesn't have a solid feature built in to moderate submissions.
