Netscape Error Can't Post

I am aware that only approximately 2-5% of internet users still use Netscape 4.7 series or below however that is still a significant number. I have tested the script and it works fine in IE and Netscape 6+ however the script will not work in Netscape 4.7 or below because of illegal parameters that are being passed in the url. Does anyone else have this problem? and if so is do you know which parameters to remove so that the script will work in Netscape 4.7

Thanks

Matt

Re: [kingtarzan] Netscape Error [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Matt,

Realty Manager has been tested to work for all the main browsers, including Netscape 4.75. I have never encountered the issue you are describing using Realty Manager with NS 4.75 before. I even installed Netscape 4.6 to try to re-create the problem you were finding but everything worked fine for me.

Can you give more details about what you are doing when the "illegal parameters" problem occurred?

Cheers

Re: [Damon] Netscape Error [In reply to] Can't Post

Damon,

I have discovered what is causing the problem. It is not caused by the script but by a coding error on my part. Just a heads up to other webmasters, if you are making links on your website that search a specific field (in my case I made a link to search listings solely located in New York)

http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/rm/exec/rm.cgi?search=1&perpage=10&sort_order=10%2C123%2Creverse&lfield13_keyword=new+york

the problem is i didn't add the plus between new and york i just had a blank space. this won't cause a browser error in IE or Netscape 6+ but it will in the Netscape 4.7 series and below.
