Hi David,
Thanks for your post. 
The meta generator tag option adds an HTML comment containing information about when the page was updated to the start of pages that Listings Manager generates. Here's an example of the tag that it generates:
<!-- Last Updated Wed Nov 14 11:55:08 2007 -->
