Listings Sort Order in Administrative Area

Is there a way to change the sort field in the listing editor without having to change the first field that is displayed? For example, my client wants to see the "Address" field in the listing editor as the first field displayed but wants them sorted by information in a different field. Any information you could provide would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi, Thanks for the post! In Listings Manager, the records in the Listings Editor will be sorted according to the first field that is set to display and unfortunately there isn't really a way around this. One thing I will mention though is that by making a couple of tweaks to the templates the software uses you can set up Listings Manager to output additional fields on the Listing Editor index page (the page that shows all of your records). This means that while your other field (the one you'd like to sort on) would actually show up first when a user adds/modifies a listing, on the index page you can show both the field you want to sort by as well as the address field. I hope this helps! Cheers, Mike Briggs - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Mike, Thanks for the reply. That solution sounds like exactly what I need to set up for my client. Could you point me in the direction of the template that I need to modify? Thanks!

Hi dfingliss, The template you'd want to modify here is called "_listing_list.html" and it can be found in the software's /templates/interface directory. Let us know if you need anything else. ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Jake Swanson - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
