Importing Listings (Revisited)

I started this thread to see if anyone has had success with importing listings into RM. I like many of you, don't enjoy data entry, and would benefit from a feature where you could upload a spreadsheet that contains hundreds (maybe 1,000s) of listings and have it automatically update your "listing.dat.cgi" file.
This topic has been discussed in the past (see previous thread: http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/forum.cgi?post=1207 ), yet for a "non-programmer", like myself, it does not make a whole lot of sense.
Has anyone made sense of the "Developer Code" that is attached to the thread mentioned above? Would anyone like share a program they developed to enable the import of listings?
If their is enough interest, there is a possibility that the good folks at Interactive Tools could add this feature to a future version of RM, or even do a "custom project" in the near-term
Please post your suggestions, thoughts, or better yet ... a solution!
