I've got the hit counter script on my page but it's stuck on 1. I've refreshed browser, republished pages several times and it stays at 1. Any ideas on what the problem might be? I assumed the code is working correctly since I got the number 1 to appear in the first place. Thanks, RG

Hey Rick - Actually, that sounds like it's working properly! I wrote it to store the IP addresses of the last few visitors, so that you couldn't get a sneeky person (like you ;-) clicking refresh on their browser to increase the hitcount - which could give an unrealistic representation of the number of people visiting the page. If you like, post me back with your page URL and I'll go and visit it - that will increase the page hitcount by one, since I wasn't one of the most recent visitors. Ben interactivetools.com

You jinxed it! :-) Your current SSI has this value: <!--#include virtual="/cgi-bin/rm/exec//hitcounter.cgi?id=$listing_num$"--> Maybe try removing the extra slash before hitcounter - that might make a difference. Do you remember what else you changed? Ben interactivetools.com

Thanks Ben, slash was one issue - Biggest issue was my stupidity - I had forgotten to change the extension to shtml. All works fine now. RG

Excellent :-) And don't feel bad - I had exactly the same problem when trying to test the script with a local installation of Realty Manager. It's an easy thing to overlook! Come to think of it, I'll update the readme.txt to mention it. Doesn't hurt! Ben interactivetools.com
