Forbidden message on SOME images

Here's a strange issue with Listings Manager. Most of the time, new listings and images post just fine. But every once in a while, a new listing will not show its images and show the Forbidden message. When I connect via FTP, these newly posted images show permissions of 600 instead of 644 like the rest. Once I use CHMOD to change them to 644, everything is happy. Easy fix, but frustrating that it needs to be done. Any ideas? I have another site running Auto Manager on the same server which has been in use for a couple of years, and it has never once had this problem.

Hi, Thanks for the post! It sounds to me like this issue might be related to the server itself and the fact that it's changing permissions on some of the images that are uploaded. That said, you can override this setting by adding the following to your config.ini in the /exec/ directory: umask = 000 Depending on your version, you may already have something like this: #umask = 000 In which case, you can simply remove the #, and save the file back to the /exec/ folder. This will override the servers umask settings and force the images to be set up with appropriate permissions. I hope this helps! Cheers, Mike Briggs - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
