E mail updates Can't Post

Hi Smile

Is there s possibility of getting some sort of module to Realty Manager allowing customers to receive new listings by e mail automatically as soon as listing was entered to database. Also it will cool if they can set up their preferences like are and price range. If somebody will be able to develop module like that let me know.

Hi Marcin,

This is would be a good addition to Realty Manager. It's not yet supported but it's something that's on our list of feature requests.

One thing you could do is have a mailing list script, and send an email out every week or month to your subscribers. The email could include links and brief details of all the new listings that have been added. There are plenty of mailing list scripts available on the net and many of them are even free.

Here's a page that lists quite a few of them:

http://cgi.resourceindex.com/Programs_and_Scripts/Perl/Mailing_Lists/

I hope this helps. :)

Re: [Luke] E mail updates [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi,

Facing the same issue here now in 2008. Has this issue been addressed in the intervening 5.5 years since the last post here?

Thanks,

- Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the post!

There isn't anything built-in to Realty Manager that will send out emails to specific visitors based on some criteria they've filled in. I'd still say that Luke's suggestion would be your best option here, you can track down a mailing list/newsletter script that will allow you to create lists and send out emails to customers that have signed up on your site.

I hope this helps Jim! Smile
