Duplicating Listings in RM

How can I duplicate a listing in RM? Many of my clients sell units in a new development and all of the information is essentially the same. It's a complete time killer to enter these listings one by one. I've thought about ftping and duplicating one of the listing html files, renaming it with a sequential number, but I don't know that RM would recognize it. Thanks, Mary ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mary A. Hi Mary, Duplicated listings need to be entered into the Realty Manager database for the software to recognize it. Unfortunately duplicating the published listings html file wouldn't be recognized but... ....I have a method I use to create duplicate listings when I want to create a lot of listings for testing purposes. Here is what I do: Create a new listing (without an image) and click the save button. On the following page when you get the "Listing has been saved" message click the browser refresh button (or CTRL- R) to re-fresh the page. Keep repeating this for the number of duplicate listings you want to create. Next you can modify each with images and other changes as needed. Note: If you upload and save an image first, the software will have already saved the listing and the re-fresh trick won't work. Also, the re-fresh trick won't work on existing listings because they already exist and you are just saving changes to them not creating a new listing. I hope that helps and cuts down on entering so many duplicate listings. :) Cheers Damon Edis interactivetools.com

I gave it a shot (many times). Wouldn't work for me. I'm on a Mac using IE 5.1. I cut & pasted for hours! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mary A. Hi Mary, Do you have access to a PC that you could give it a try on? Just for those times that you have to create a large amount of listings that are almost identical. Cheers Damon Edis interactivetools.com
