Database sorting Can't Post

Hi there

I am about to hit the 100 properties mark and wanted to know exactly what disabling database sorting does (as RM recommends that I should disable over 100 properties).

What are the impacts of doing this and should I leave it until it breaks. Everything is working so well at the moment that I am keen to leave well alone if possible Laugh...

I have come across other posts that discuss hosting memory etc... but I am not really sure what it all means.

Thanks

Re: [Si] Database sorting [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Si,

We recommend it be turned off for over 100 listings simply because it will keep queries to your search engine nice and quick. Though all considered, I haven't heard complaints from people running hundreds and hundreds of listings, so I really wouldn't worry about it just yet! :-)

If I were you I'd leave it be until you start noticing a perpectable lag in searching.

Hope this helps :-)
