I'm receiving this error while trying to open the rm.cgi file to log in and can't figure out how to get around it...

If you get a persistent filelock RM should remove it by itself within 5 minutes, but, if that's not working for any reason you can just remove the directory called "filelock.lock" under the /data/ folder and that will fix it. Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com

I've checked the directory, but do not see a lock file in any of the directories.

Have you been using RM ok before and this just started happening? It may be that the user that perl runs as doesn't have write permissions for the /data/ directory. If you're familiar with this you could check into it or fill out our support form and we could take a look at it for you. Here's the link: http://www.interactivetools.com/support/email_support.cgi Hope that helps! Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com

Yes, it's been working fine up until today. The error is only happening while running rm.cgi, and if I run search.cgi I get nothing but a blank screen

Are you on windows or unix? Do you know if you're hosting provider might have switched servers or made any major upgrades lately? Anything else change that you can think of? Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com

If you go in and try and create a directory in the /data/ folder yourself called "test", are you able to do that? Does the user perl runs as (usually "IUSR_servername") have read/write access to the data folder? Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com

"write" permissions were messed up by FrontPage extensions... Thanks!
