Change how listings view in the listing editor

I have a real estate company that has added a listing number to their list of fields. Currently, the address: Listed by: Status: and Action: are shown on the first screen of the Listing Editor. They want to add the new listing number to this first screen in the editor. Is there anyway I can do this. They also have an older version 2.3 of RM. Thanks.

Actually, what they want to do is to print out a list of the properties with about 6 of the fields no photos. Has anyone done this and can give me examples? Thank you. Marsha

Hi Marsha! What I'd probably do is create a new template that displays only the information you want. You can then specify a search URL that will use that new template. Only you'll see that specific template (unless you give someone else the URL for it.) The search URL would look like this: http://yoursite.com/path/to/search.cgi?search=1&template=_your_new_template.html Give that a try and let me know how it works for you. :) Donna

OK...got that to work. Tried to sort by the Property # the client added and it sorts backwards. Using "&sort_order=30,123,reverse". 30 is my field number and if I use a -30 it doesn't do anything. Tried leaving out reverse too and it did not have any effect. The number go from 788-700. and I want it to go 700-788?

Hi Webmac! Chance the "reverse" to "forward", and that'll change the order it sorts in. :) Donna

Thanks Donna. Is there a list of these "codes" somewhere?

Hi there! They're actually right there in the template, although you may have removed them. You can also see all of the search options online here: http://www.interactivetools.com/docs/doc.cgi?/listingsmanager/doc_page7.html I hope this helps. :) Donna
