Admin Login/Place holders Can't Post

Hi All,

I have just setup Realty Manager on a customers Windows 2003 Server. I have a few problems

1. When I try to log into the Admin I keep getin the error "Invalid Login" I have checked the user name and password. If I Brows to admin.cgi from IIS manager I can log In. It seems I cannot log in from the outside.

2. I would like to hide the Admin account from my customer. I would like to use it just to change the settings for the program. I have set Display in homepage index? to no but is still shows up in the home page editor page when I log in on another users name.

3 I am a little confuser on the place holders. Where do the values for the place holders get set

Thank You

John

Re: [DjJohnny] Admin Login/Place holders [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi,

Thanks for the post! Smile

I'll go over each of your questions for you one at a time:

1. Without having a look at this it's a bit tough to see what the issue might be. You'll want to ensure that cookies are enabled in your browser and perhaps try logging in from another computer or browser to see if you get the same results.

2. All of the user accounts are going to display in the "Homepage Editor" section of Listings Manager. That said, your client won't be able to see any of the login details for this and that user won't be output or displayed anywhere on the live site.

3. Listings Manager uses a set of placeholders to output the data that has been entered. So for example, when you log into Listings Manager and click Setup Options->Setup Listing Fields you'll see a list of every field that has been created. Let's say you saw a field here called "Price" and the placeholder value was "lfield5". In Listings Manager's template files you'd output that value like this:

Price: $lfield5$

This will output the price for the specific record you're looking at. I'd suggest looking over Listings Manager's default templates to see how the fields are currently being output.

I hope this helps! Smile
