AM 2 Homepage layout problem

All, I have not used Artman 2 in years, I stopped with artman 1 about 8 years ago when I left the business....
Anyway, I'm working with AM2 now and have a major problem
I want to disply the Featured article normally on the homepage, but I want the top artcle from each category to be listed below it with just Headline, cat, and Date
I've scowered the old article, even found a few I worte years and years ago....
But nothing is working.... the publishing rules are giving me fits....
All I want is the code
