webhost considerations & suggestions?

I'm just getting started with CMS.
Other than the server requirements to enable the software to run, such as needing MySQL 4.1.7+ , is there anything else that would be helpful to have?
Are there any recommendations for reputable webhosts?

Hi Rita, welcome to the CMS Builder forum! :)
Just about any web host that supports PHP and MySQL will work. We offer web hosting ourselves here: http://www.interactivetools.com/hosting/
And there's some user suggested hosts here:

Note: That last thread is from before we supported PHP 4 and MySQL 4. So even hosts with those older versions will work now.
