Upload - replace existing file

Is there a way to set up up an upload field that will simply replace an existing file of the same name? Currently it adds another file but adds an "001" or "002" to the filename. The client needs to replace a pdf on the website on a regular basis (weekly) so he just wants to replace the pdf file that is already uploaded with a new one of the same name. I'm assuming there's a setting somewhere where I can tell it to simply overwrite the existing file instead of renaming it? Or does he have to delete the existing one first and then re-upload the new one?

Is it because clients bookmark the PDF location or do you know the reason why maintaining the filename is important? There's no option to overwrite, so the simplest would be to erase the current one and upload another with the same name. Hope that helps, let me know if that's going to be ok. It not we can try and find another solution. Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com
