I would like to include a global search form whi is located on all pages of a particular site. I would like there to be one drop down selection box and one text field. The dropdown selection box would give the visitor to select which section they wish to search within. The text box would allow user to type the text they want to seartch for in the "Title" and "Content" fields of each record. Is this possible?

I have a related question so thought I would post it here if that's OK? If not, please tell me and I will post separately. I would like to produce a 'global' search facility that would sit on all web site pages but with the ability to exclude sections - effectively reproducing the functionality of Interactive's Search Engine software.... Any assistance gratefully received. Many thanks, Nigel

Vaisoco, We're just starting to develop this functionality. The latest version of CMS Builder has a "multisearch" feature that lets you search multiple sections. You can download a sample file with that on this post: http://www.interactivetools.com/iforum/P61466/ It's brand new so there's no documentation for it yet but see if you can get that going having it search all sections and then I can help you limit it to a single section. Basically you just need to enter the section tablename, and various fields you want search and displayed for each section. Hope that helps. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. Nigel, See the above post and have a look at the attachment on this thread: http://www.interactivetools.com/iforum/P61466/ We've just added that functionality. Note that it can only search sections published by CMS Builder, not other static pages on the site. Hope that helps! Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com
