Notice: Announce your new CMS Builder websites here! Can't Post

This thread is where you can showcase your work and share with the community what you've been working on.

Please feel free to post your CMS Builder powered sites, a sentence or two on what they're about, and what parts are powered by CMS Builder -or- just post whatever you want to share! :)

Thanks, I look forward to seeing your work!

Re: [Dave] Website Launches - Announce your new CMS Builder websites here! [In reply to] Can't Post

I have been working on two sites with CMSB http://www.clikquikcoupons.com is one of them. The menus on the left are all being pulled and created from the CMSB. The center, ( if anyone can give me a tip on if statement to hide the click here image when they don't have 4 stories that would be great) the banners at the top are a flash file feed by an xml file created by CMSB. Every page of the site is in CMSB.

Thanks to Interactive tools

When my client of the other site stops making changes I will list it here.

YellowstoneShop.com features cabin furnishings and lodge decor, huckleberry products, and other products made in Montana and the Yellowstone area.

I converted this site to use CMS Builder to manage the product listings and other page content. I've had a positive experience learning how to use CMS Builder and love the flexibility it gives me in website development.

Fiorella required a website to reflect her mortgage services, as well as the ability to update her own content. I used CMS Builder to provide simple content management for updating all her web pages, mortgage rates, and contact info.

Tracie asked for a clean and simple design to reflect her professional coaching service, with a Content Management System (CMS). In addition Tracie also required a News & Events section, PDF File uploads, and Random Quotes displayed by category throughout the site.

We combined all these requirements into the CMS framework with CMS Builder. I am especially grateful not only to find a custom CMS that I could integrate into my own design, but also for the phenomenal support I received when I was stuck on coding issues.

CMSB is the backend for this site. A very few things are hard-coded which gives the client a lot of control over their content.

Many thanks to Dave and the Interactive Tools team for their support of my frequent questions!

It's interesting and exciting to see so many complex and diversified site designs powered by CMSB.

What would really be helpful to me as a CMSB newbee, and I'm sure a lot of others, is if some of you were willing to share some of the php code and editor designs for some of your greatest achievements.

Thanks

I think you're right Jerry. But to be honest, most of the techniques I have used were found here on this forum (using the search function). Dave and the crew at Interactive Tools are outstanding in their level of assistance so after you've done a search for something you need, and come up empty, you should post the questions you have. If you're asking about something, then probably others are too.

There are a few people so far who have posted helpful 'how to' items already. Perhaps there could be a separate forum just for code snippets of that sort. But frankly, this forum has so much good stuff in it that whenever I search for a solution to a problem I learn more about the system and other ways of doing things just while I'm looking.

Re: [InHouse] Notice: Announce your new CMS Builder websites here! [In reply to] Can't Post

I don't disagree (altogether). The issue comes in when the understanding of an issue is hampered by the fact that much of the file, code sharing and the like goes on (understandably) behind closed doors.

Things like "Oh I found my problem, thanks..." or "I fixed the code and put it up on your server. Hope this helps.", doesn't do much for the rest of us.

I don't expect anyone to give away any proprietary information, but more often than not, people are willing to share when asked, and if they're not asked, they just take their solution and go about their projects.

I don't think that many of us will be able to "steal a client" because we got the cookbook approach to some neat functionality, but it will sure make this software a more valuable tool.

Photoshop and DreamWeaver are great examples of software made more valuable by the user community's tips, tutorials, books and free and paid for classes.

Hi, Dave.

Here's my third CMS Builder site: http://www.amgltd.biz.

The other two are http://www.carv.ca and http://www.tomlinsonelitehockey.com.

I'm working on my fourth and I already have other licenses for future sites because it's so easy to convince clients that this is the ideal CMS for them.

We completed our first a while ago - www.fareastfilms.com. Its a simple one but does use some search coding and a few extra bits.
We are currently coding an image gallery which integrates lightbox and a number of other more complex features.
I just wanted to say that this product is NOT just for simple website control. I have a team of extremely experienced open source and Microsoft developers. All have said that this product far exceeds any CMS product in terms of flexibility and control.

We think its fantastic and will pass on any major add ons we create.

Great work guys.

Greetings Everyone!
I've used CMS Builder on three sites, to help my clients be their own content managers! Saves me a bucket full of time!

http://www.cultureshockcoaching.com

http://www.actsentertainment.com

http://www,nowsthetime4u.com

Enjoy and has anyone successfully used the blog feature within CMS? If so, please email me your site so I can figure it out for myself, or perhaps you have some guidelines! Thanks!
