After upgrading to 1.12 I get this on some sites when trying to upload pictures...
Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open '/home/friend/public_html/webadmin/uploads/thumb/comingsoon.jpg' for writing: Permission denied in /home/friend/public_html/webadmin/lib/menus/default/uploadForm_functions.php on line 259

Make sure this directory exists: /uploads/thumb/ and that it is writable.
Let me know if that doesn't fix it.
