Domain/DNS root - problems with uploads

Hi,
I've run into some problems when making my site 'live'. Everything works fine except viewing uploads. Now that I've changed the domain the site is looking for the images through an extra folder level ie;
CMS originally pathed at; hostinghome/siteroot/cmsAdmin/uploads/
Now I've made the site live it's; siteroot/cmsAdmin/uploads/
I found that CMS was looking for the images with an extra 'siteroot' directory ie; siteroot/siteroot/cmsAdmin/uploads.
Ok, so I followed the advice on several posts here and created a new folder tree for the uploads in that place. so I now have my uploads in;
siteroot/siteroot/cmsAdmin/uploads.
This works fine but (finally to the problem!) in CMS I can no longer see the upload thumbnails. They still point to the old, original folder, and I can't find a way to change that.
Any ideas how I can update the thumbnail path, or otherwise solve this?

So problem solved!
