Access denied for user 'cms'@'localhost' (using password: YES)? Can't Post

When I try to install CMS Builder I get the following error:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Access denied for user 'cms'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have entered the correct password for the "user" of the database. What is going on?

Thanks for your time.

Hi JamesKB,

Just a guess...

Could it be the permissions actually granted to the db user?

They need to be administrator (dba) level permissions.

Hi James,

Sorry that didn't turn out to be an easy fix.

Can you gain full access the database in any other external way with those credentials? Like through PHPMyadmin ?

It also might be a server path issue in your setup information or a write permission issue with a folder. (but those are stabs in the dark)

Good luck

Have you tried to reinstall? redownload and install?

Have you ever installed on a remote server?

Glad you got it sorted out.

We're usually the "bug"
