membership plugin how to not use user accounts Can't Post

Hi cmsb has user accounts that allow access to various admin features of cmsb. This I manage for my client. The membership plugin works with this table and I would rather the membership plugin work with a different table and keep the cmsb control separate, after all users that sign up to a section of my website have no business in the cmsb back end. Is there a way to create a table in the database that the membership plug in can use like "members" or something. This makes sense to me but obviously not to the developers of the plug in. any body out there that can help me with this??

Hi,

To make the membership plugin work with a table that is not accounts would take quite a lot of customization.

If you're concerned about members that create an account through the plugin having access to back end sections, you can change the signup script to not write any values to the _accesslist table. If the user has no values in the _accesslist table, even if they did login directly to CMS Builder, they would be able to manipulate, or even see any of your sections.

Hope this helps
