Google Apps - OpenID Can't Post
Any chance of having a release that works with OpenID? We use Google Apps extensively for our organization, but people hate remembering different passwords. I would love to be able to assign them one username and password and they can use for accessing their email and for updating an article.

Hey,

It is an interesting idea, we've been thinking about external authentication since we've received requests for other services as well like Facebook and LDAP. We'll post in the forum if we have any news on that front.

Hey Guys,

Any progress on LDAP? I've a client with 1600 users and looking for an intranet solution... obviously doesn't want to manage them in 2 places...

We don't have a plug-in LDAP module yet. Is your client looking to authenticate to a mail service or Active Directory?

Hey Tim,

AD is not quite vanilla LDAP, but it's definitely doable. I've personally setup a few AD authentication functions.

Generally for success a project will need:
-A local server with PHP and the LDAP extension installed
-Information about the AD like domain controller and Base DN.
-A sys admin who can make changes to the AD if needed. (Sometimes security controls need to be changed).
