type php directly into wysiwyg editor? Can't Post

Hello.

What do I have to do to code php into the wysiwyg editor. (or its html popup editor)

I want to code stuff in php and then "include('myApp.php')" within the content area.

I have tried but its replacing my tags.

If its possible can you point me at a howto

(I have already set my AM2 to parse PHP includes)

Thanks
John

Hi John,

Thanks for the post!

Article Manager by default is set-up so that you can't add php code in the WYSIWYG editor. The reason for this is that many people who use Article Manager have multiple authors, many times these authors are people that the website owner doesn't know. Allowing these users to enter php code in the WYSIWYG editor could present many different security problems. :)

That being said we do have a custom script that will allow you to add php code in the WYSIWYG editor. If you'd like a copy of this script I'll be happy to set you up with it all you'll need to do is send us a support request using the link below:

Does this help John? I Look forward to hearing back from you soon!

Hi John,

Thanks for the e-mail!

I actually overlooked one thing when I wrote that last post, there is actually a way to enable php coding inside the Article Manager admin section. Sorry about the confusion here I had been thinking of something else. :)

Anyway to set this up in the admin simply login to Article Manager and got to 'Admin' --> 'General Settings' on this page scroll down until you reach the "Security Settings" section. Inside this section uncheck the "Remove Code Blocks " section and save your changes.

You should now be able to add your php code John, give this a try and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask!
Cheers,
