problem after moving to new server Can't Post

hey guys... got a problem that I'm really hoping you can help with.

I just moved my site to a new hosting company... so that I meant that I obviously had to migrate to a new server.

I got everything installed, and migrated the databases, but now when I try to go to admin.cgi to try to repoint to the correct info with the new server, I can't get into AM.

I know it's because I don't have the right info in the settings, but I'm not sure how I can go about changing the settings since I can't get to the file.

Here's the exact error message I'm getting:

Alert: The following settings need to be updated in: Admin > Server Settings:
Invalid 'Website Root Directory': /home/mopslam1/public_html/
Invalid 'Upload Directory': /home/mopslam1/public_html/artman2/uploads/
Invalid 'Publish Directory': /home/mopslam1/public_html/artman2/publish/
Couldn't create Upload Directory! Check permissions on:
/home/mopslam1/public_html/artman2/uploads/
Unable to initialize Upload Module! (Check settings)

Error: Program was unable to connect to the MySQL database 'mopslam1_artman' on 'remotemysqlhost'.The reason given was: Unknown MySQL server host 'remotemysqlhost' (1)

help!

Thanks,

Pete Lamont

Re: [pistolpl] problem after moving to new server [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi pistolpl,

Typically when you do a server move, it's still possible to log in to Article Manager although its interface will be missing graphics and will display error messages. Usually you can manage to navigate over to the Server Settings page to change all of the incorrect paths and URL's, which will get your software working again. Can you get to that page at all?

You would also need to update your MySQL database settings under Admin -> Database Editor.

If you still can't resolve these error messages, submit a second-level support request and we can take a look at this for you:

no access to the admin panel... the only thing I see on the page is the error message I mentioned earlier.
