Hi to all forum members, I was working with Article Manager 1 but now in Article Manager 2 i have many problems. I don't understand the new template's - publishing rules etc. In Article Manager 1 i had in my template a include like this <?php include('/artman/publish/cat_index_57.php'); ?> It works fine but now in Article Manager 2 not anymore. How can i get page's and headlines from other categories on my basic page EXAMPLE Basic (home) page with 1 article - The welcome text - so far no problem......but then i get in trouble On the basic page also 2 latest article's from other categories.- (summary) On the basic page also Headlines with the latest 10 items from a other news categorie If anyone can help with this ...... Big Thanks

Hi Roberto Thanks for posting! I think what you are running into here is that Article Manager 2 publishes things slightly different now. What you'll want to do is update the includes so that they pull in the new files. While it will be a little different for each of the includes you have, all your content in Article Manager will be publishing the /artman2/publish and then a folder named the same as your category with the final page being index.shtml in that folder. Does that make sense? Basically, you'll just need to update your includes so they point to the correct files again. Have a look and let me know how you make out . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Hi Roberto You are on the right track here! The category index pages for Article Manager 2 are going to be published like this: 'http://www.mysite.com/artman2/publish/the_folder_name/' Now, that is actually just the default setting so it's possible to change that. For example, if it ended up being easier, you could actually have Article Manager publish your index pages like it used: 'http://www.mysite.com/artman1/publish/cat_index_59.php' If you wanted to give that shot, take a look at this tutorial on our site http://www.interactivetools.com/docs/doc.cgi?/articlemanager2/tutorials/change_to_old_filenames.html and let me know what you think . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
