error when publishing

Hi,
We are making edits to a site we built for a client over a year ago - uisng AM version 2.13. After making changes to categories, we are now getting this error, and we are unable to publish any changes:
Error: categoryNums does not contain any categories! at /home/allambie/public_html/cgi-bin/artman2/modules//IT/ArtMan/CustomMenus/Publish.pm line 227.
Help Please!
