I am still playing around with this software, I do not have any form of programming skills but i am able to find my way around computers and software using forums and help files. What i want to do is to have an area that i can bulk upload articles, i have looked at the database that the articles are stored and found it to be a file. There is a section that allows a new database. If I were to create a sql database with all the relevant database fields, if i delete the old file database would there be any problems with scripts contained within the software that would look for this file database, would it automatically pick up the new database sql were all the article details would be held. If this was possible could i then bulk upload via cpanel or shell access into the sql which would then allow me to upload the article to the publish folder when the admin section is entered and published.

Hi shoutitandsave, When you convert over to using a MySQL database from the built-in flatfile database, the data files that are no longer required are removed by the software and Article Manager automatically creates all of the required database tables and columns in MySQL. So if you convert to a MySQL database all you need to do is worry about adding your article content there - you won't need to worry about updating the flatfile database or anything else. Let us know if you have any other questions. ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Jake Swanson - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
