Templates not working

I followed the tutorial so that my articles and index.php files are on my root instead of in artman2.
That seemed easy enough.
But now, all formatting has vanished. I just see a white page with some black text.
I'm sure it's something simple as to how my pages are pointing to the templates, but I can't figure it out.

Hi Jen.
Thanks for posting!
I think the reason your layout doesn't look quite right anymore is because your files are being published with a .php extension. That means the SSI's on your page that pull in the rest of the layout aren't actually working anymore.
This isn't a problem though and all you'll need to do is change your SSI's to PHP includes and everything should start working again.
The easiest way to change your includes (if you have the latest version of Article Manager) is by logging into the program and going to Admin -> Publishing. At the bottom of this page will be a drop down menu with Advanced Commands. Select the option for changing SSIs to PHP includes then hit go.
Once that finishes, republish your content and let me know if it gets your index page going again. I look forward to hearing from you  .
