Search Form Query

Hello, Is there a way to limit a search using a simple search box based on information within a specific field. For example can we include a line to search only those articles that have a specific answer within one field such as only articles with the field "exhibitor" with result "yes"? Example in red: <form action="../cgi-bin/artman2/search.cgi" method="post"> <input type="hidden" name="search" value="exhibitor" result="yes"> <input type="hidden" name="template" value="searchEngine/search_results.html"> <table border="0" cellspacing="4" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td>Search Term</td> <td><input type="text" name="keyword" value="" size="40"/></td> <td><input type="submit" name="" value="Search" style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"></td> </tr> </table> </form> Thanks, jferry

Hi jferry, Thanks for posting. While it is possible to limit Article Manager searches to specific fields, you can't run another separate keyword search at the same time. To do a search like this, you would need to have it set up to search both your exhibitor field and any other fields in Article Manager at the same time. If you wanted to change your search fields, you can make this change by going to Admin -> Database Editor and clicking on the "edit table & fields" link for db_article.
