Reverse sorting

I have set up a related articles "template if" to sort through CD info and add it to the artist profile discography pages. I have the database sorting by the release date. It's working fine as you can see by looking at this page: http://www.thatscountry.com/am3/publish/tuv/003_2.shtml The only problem is that I would like the most recent album at the top instead of the bottom. Is there any way of reversing the sorting? *************** Marti Clayton That's Country

Hi Marti, Thanks for the post! Have you tried setting the publish for this feature to sort in reverse? To do this simply go to 'Admin' --> 'Publishing' and select the publish rule that controls your CD info, at the bottom of this publish rules page you'll find your sort options. Select the "Use custom sort order below" checkbox, then pick your field to sort on and check off the "reverse order" for this field. After you have done this save your changes and re-publish this publish rule. :) Give this a try Marti and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask! Thanks for your reply Chet... I know I can reverse the order in the publish rules with the article lists but I need the order to reverse in a related articles search output. There is no publish rule for this. Unfortunately, this is the only place a need this order. Is there a way to reverse the order in the template if? *************** Marti Clayton That's Country

Hi Marti, Thanks for your email. :) Generally, any page like that should be generated with a Publish Rule -- this way, you have full control over the output. Otherwise, it's going to be set by the default sort order that you've set for the entire site. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. :) Donna
