Is it possible to do this?? Lets say I have Category A,B,C,D, and E. Each category has 15 or 20 articles each. Can I create an RSS feed using multiple categories?? Hypothetically, I may want to use category A, D, and E only. I tried to filter the categories and limited the results to 10, but I keep generating a feed that only has articles from the last category (alphabetically.......in this case, category E) Thanks to all in advance!

I've done both with no success. If I select just one category, it works like a champ.

Hi, Update:The tutorial I wrote about "filtering on global index pages" didn't work as I had intended so I removed it. :( I was using templateif statements to filter categories which looked like it worked but the problem was that if those categories didn't show up in the first 5 results (if you had your main page set to dispaly 5 articles) then no articles would appear. I will take another look to see what other options are available. Cheers Damon Edis interactivetools.com

Hi, Good news! The next version, 2.02 (scheduled for release at the end of this week or early next week) includes a feature in the Publish Rules to allow you to choose which categories will appear in the global index. This also means that you will be able to modfiy your RSS Feed publish rule to choose which categories to include. Hope that helps. :) If you have any questions, let us know. Damon, Is this feature now available in 2.02? I'd also like to filter certain categories into an RSS feed. Thanks. LC

Hi, Yes, filtering which categories appear in the global index and global RSS feed is now available in 2.02. In Admin > Publishing - select modify for your Global RSS Feed. In the Category Filter section of the page, click the radio button beside the Include selected categories. Select the categories to include. Save and re-publish your Global RSS feed. Hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. Cheers Damon Edis interactivetools.com
