Question/Verification re: User Accounts (2 actually)

Writer... Trusted Writer... Editor... Two quick questions: 1) (This is more of a verification): If I set someone as an "editor" (so that they can approve articles too?)... If I set them to JUST have access to their topic... (i.e., marketing)... And I set it to give an email to their topic... they will "only" get notified of those articles, right? Not other topics? (I recall - maybe it was AM 1 though, that it just shot off an email every time, regardless of who it was and whether they should get emailed or not LOL) 2) Is there a way we can allow people to register as a Writer without my intervention? (Not trusted though, just the first level?) Amber

Hi Amber, The email notifications do work in the way you described - if an editor only has access to a certain category, and they've only been set up to receive email notifications for a specific category, they won't receive emails when articles are added to categories outside of their access scope. Right now there isn't a way to have visitors to your site sign up for accounts in Article Manager directly, however we are taking on custom coding work right now and this may be something we could set up for you through Priority Consulting. You can email consulting@interactivetools.com if you'd like a quote on this. ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Jake Swanson - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
