Publishing content to multiple sites with AM2

Hey guys, I did a quick query and didn't see this addressed, and also don't know if it is "allowed" under the license, but I have multiple college football sites and would like to have the content I create in AM publish to all of these sites simultaneously.... In a nutshell, all have slightly different templates, and as of this point one uses AM, another Joomla, and the third a different CMS.... as such, I have to cut and paste the article into each back end and publish each individually.... if I could customize the templates and integrate AM to publish to all three sites at the same time, I'd be ecstatic.... (and I'd have no problem purchasing additional licenses if need be...) Is there a way to do this, or something that achieves roughly the same effect?

Hi Johnnymo, Thanks for posting. While we generally discourage publishing to multiple sites with Article Manager since it can make your installation somewhat cumbersome, it is possible to set this up with one license provided that all of your web sites are hosted on the same web server. For this to be possible, Article Manager needs to be able to access all of the directories for each of these sites from one installation. To set this up you'll need to create separate sets of publishing rules for each site which have custom publish URLs/directories specified for them which publish to your other sites. Let us know if you have any other questions! ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Jake Swanson - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

This is exactly what I would like to do also! I have one (and plan more) add-on domain that points to a folder on my main site. It's all the the same server, so I think I meet the requirements. Is there anything I need to do to notify you (IT) that I plan to do this? Since my AM-published content would be appearing on domains other than the one it is registered to? Thanks, Terri Z

Hi Terri, Thanks for your post! You won't need to notify us if you do this. Our main concern is with multiple copies of the software being installed at one time. Feel free to ask any other questions you might have. ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Jake Swanson - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

This is exactly what I would like to do, I have used AM1 in the past and had to publish to subdomians. Like Terri I would have no problem if I had to but extra licenses but not to is a bonus. I haven't bought AM2 but would like to know how you do this before I purchase. Could it be explained a little more. Regards bangers

Hi bangers, I believe I spoke to you about this through email already, but the rule of thumb is that using Article Manager to publish files on subdomains is fine, but it's not acceptable to publish to a completely different domain using the software. ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Jake Swanson - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
