Problem - password change

We had someone hack into our server via a script today, and we've plugged the hole and changed the password on that script and the server.
**This was NOT Article manager** (For those who might misread LOL)
The problem:
Where do I update the password to the db in the script?
It's not working for the moment. Please help?
